:confused:My 485 was filed with me as Primary and my wife as derivative in July 2007 with PD of Nov'05 2003. My I-140 is approved
I have applied EAD/AP through this pending AOS, but neither me nor my wife are using EAD/AP since we are both maintaining H1B status.
My wife's parallel GC process - I-140 just got in EB2 - PD Jan 2005.
The Alient no on her application is the same that got assigned due to her pending AOS application .Her PD is current with Aug 2008 bulletine

If you want to use AC21 and your current employer is playing dirty tricks like withholding you pay without any legal reason or trying to arm twist you into staying with him please try this following you would win without fail.
1) Try to negotiate with your employer and make sure you don't compromise on your paid leave balance, last few paychecks and experience letter.
2) If he is trying to scam you out of as much money as possible before you leave try to preserver all the written communication you had with him to recover your money.
3) With all that paper work you have enough ammo to get all the money back and shut your bloodsucking employer.
4) Call the sucker and tell him that you are sending a letter to the USCIS with CC to the president, congressman of your district and your state senator regarding your problem. Add in a couple of news agency names on the CC list just for kicks
You can never go wrong with this plan, you will get your money back within a few days.
BTW you can request USCIS to expedite your I485 and quote these kind of employer exploitation as a hardship. ( I never tried this part, who knows you might get your GC ahead of others) I don't know of anyone who has used this successfuly, if you try it please share your experience.

As far as I know there are people from US Army, NASA scientists, NFL players, pastors etc.....from different background are very successfully building the franchise business. No wonder they are growing $1.2 billion dollars every year since 1950.
Of course is not for everyone; its only for people who know the power of free enterprise on which this country is built on.

The original post is fine only in parts but most of it is totally crap. He says his living standard has gone down because of L1s and H1bs and herds people coming from india, Dude you need to understand that this recession has not been caused by H1b and L1s or other IT workers coming to US, its because of the real estate boom and foolishness of american people who believed that real estate prices will keep on rising to INFINITY.. i don't have to explain how this recession started i hope majority of the people knows about it.. so stop blaming IT workforce for your living standard.. another example.. just seen what happened to GM and chrysler.. they failed to understand the market for small cars and fuel efficient cars.. instead they produced gas guzzlers like hummers.. so do you think they have the brightest minds. Also Its the enemy within (corruption) which can cause great harm and we have that kind of enemy now. You can never ever change the attitudes which people carry in India without another revolution.

Giving an interim GC while visa number is unavailable will have the effect of bypassing the entire GC quota system. How do you want the interim card to be different from the final thing? No way that anyone in Congress will allow for their laws to be overridden through USCIS rulemaking.

Here in capitalist market housing is never been a housing alone , prime motto to have housing is investment. If we might be debating this 3 years back on this forum ( In booming Real Estate market, yep, US GC Process was sucker then too :) ) you would not have anything against US real estate market to argue about. And that's the point. Housing market here too has cycles and if you wait out patiently you would have appreciation in a scale that normal Canadian may have to dream about.
And that is the point. If lending industry seems to be loosely controlled to you in the USA then yes there are ways to deal with it. You have to learn them. In Canada, in your terms, so called "Good loans" has kept Canadian economy "Welfare economy" only. To progress dynamically any country should have economy to be able to have kicks in, and USA market has that capacity. Today you are ranting about bad housing in USA... agreed, but seeing your signature, it seems that you never want to leave USA and with your claim "to love USA", I believe you will still be around here for years debating with me.. (wait, let me go grab a cup of cofee.:) .. I also need "Dynamic Kick" to debate with you) , I will be able to show you how much appreciation average american can have on average home. If you think Memo is illegal why can't you file a lawsuit. That should be right way. But I did not see any suggestion from any lawyer. But when when July 2007 issue cropped most lawyers rushed to file lawsuit. Now no one even suggesting lawsuit except some members in IV.
