DO NOT go through any of these agencies. they just put additional delays in your PR processing. I got my Canadian PR in 14 months without any professional help.
On an average, they will charge $3000 and cause an additional delay of 3-6 months in your case

I am not saying that the AP cannot be used again, but it cannot be used after the Validity on the AP which is 1 year from the Issue date and the date on the I-94 doesn't have any meaning.
For example
My AP was issued on Oct 18th 2007 and I can use it to travel till Oct 17th 2008. But people are saying that they are issued an I-94 with a date which is 1 year from the date they enter/use the AP.
But my concern is that I was issued an I-94A which doesn't have any date on it. Should I be concerned about that?

The point of the thread is that many people now think that cost of american dream is greater than the opportunity, and the balance is tilting in favor of other countries. Everyone makes their own assessment. No point in getting personal about it. Just a suggestion..using phrases like "suck blood out your body" will just reduce the effect of your argument.
And Do you (canadian wanna be) have any clue that to get respected salary and position you will be forced by illiterate Canadians to have "Professional Engineering Certificates"... It will suck blood out of your body for 5 years... So just do not read "Greener Side" of Canadian Immigration... I know it may not be applicable to all but more or less most of will have to face the same music in their careers. My all Canadian friends and relatives want to be Americans.. Only some of them practically could proceed for that.. After some stage of life it becomes hard to move families.. That is the reason they are facing now to take decision and simultaneously do not want to live in Canada anymore.. If you have 101 fever it will take 1 month to have Doctor's appointment... GST.. Higher taxes.. statistically there are chances "Most of members of this forum - Canadian Wanna Be" will have less promotions and/or increments in salary eventhough they will find themselves most skilled wherever they will work. Top posts would be the dream for most of you guys unless you start your own business.. if you understand what I am trying to tell... In USA it is not that way.... #1 Landed in Texas in late 90's at a friends place. Friend took me to get SS# next day, dropped me at SS office during his lunch time and came in the evening at SS office to pick me up. While waiting outside, in a span of 20 minutes, had two people (one desi and another a colored person) approach me trying to befriend me...obviously I fall for it, second day and I meet such a nice person , offering me help if I needed. etc. Asked me for my cell or home #, I did not have any (was only going to stay at friends for few days and then going to Phoenix), so, i managed to get their business cards and I promised to call them.
In the evening, friend picked me up, told him what happened, he laughed and said "they already got you....unbelievable..hit in just one day of landing... I asked him to explain what was going on, he said he explained me everything. He mentioned that his brother-in-law will be at his home in the evening for dinner (an IBO), and asked me to tell him that I was not interested as I wanted to focus on career first. We go inside, he introduced to his BIL, BIL immediately asked me when I came and what I do, and that he has an excellent business offer for me, which he would discuss with me after dinner. My friend blinked at me, I told him that I had a business proposal for him as well. He was surprised and asked me what it was. I told him that when I was in India, I was a IBO and I wanted him to be an IBO, after listening to what I had to say.
He and my friend were astonished, my friend and his wife were laughing. BIL said he was going to talk about the same thing to me, I said, I am tired and if he already is a IBO, I will not talk about it at all, as I would rather sleep (jet lag). Got rid of him easily...
Incident #2: After moving to Phoenix in 8 days, landed at my Desi consultant's, got a 2 Bedroom townhome shared by total of4 people. One of them was active in AMWAY...asked me if I wanted to go to a business meeting followed by Tea/snacks. I told him I could come only if he stops by grocery store first as I wanted to buy stuff. I did not have car so needed his help for groceries etc. I went with him and few of other FOBs that he had managed to "capture" (New Bakras for him). Went to his friends house who was a new IBO and hosting tea party/(Bakra kato seminar) first time, so he had lot of food/snacks etc. I enjoyed the snack, slept in the mkt. speech. ate good food. Told him that I was already an IBO when the form signing ceremony started, friend was mad why I did not tell him, I told him that I should be mad at him for wasting my time and not telling me where and what this meeting was about. Had a fun at his expense :-)

1. This is not a political forum ... this discussion has to stop, so does the killing in SL.
2. There is so much hatred between SL Tamils and Singhalese ... pls see the videos on you tube, rediff etc and the comments ... it like a cyber warfare and the posts contain so much hatred between both sides. No wonder there is so much killing and disregard for human life in SL now.
3. People get confused between LTTE and Srilankan Tamils they think they are the same ... Srilankan tamils are facing humanitarian crisis and some people consider raising voice against this crisis is supporting LTTE.
4. SL may be a different country but the Tamils living in India have interest in them and their welfare. This has to be recognized by the Indian government if it values the interest of its people. (Its a dont care situation ... and the apathy is growing in Tamilnadu that they are alienated)
5. There is no expectation from any other Indian other than a Tamil Indian to have interest in this issue unless it was on a human grounds.
6. This cause belongs to Tamils and only Tamils can solve this issue, Indian government is a union of many states and languages and there is oneness of being an Indian if the issue is of interest to the rest of the union. Now it belongs to a <10% Minority (Tamils) so it stays as a Tamil issue. Rest of the Indians don't care if it is happening in SL or Uganda.
We have a oneness in this forum because we all are waiting for GC and nothing else holds us together. Lets stop this discussion now .... it doesnt take us anywhere.

My friend has an I-140 EB3 priority date oct 2005 approved and he had filed for 485 during july 2007.
He also has another approved LC under EB2 category and he has to file I-140 now.
In August 2008, the EB2 priority date becomes current for him since if he interfiles he would get oct 2005 on his new I-140.
Since he would be porting his EB3 PD to EB2 I-140, is it allowed that now in august he can file both I-140 & I-485 along with porting PD request.
or should he only file I-140 with porting request alone.
Does USCIS still allow concurrent filing and in this scenario can he file concurrently.
What happens to his earlier 485, does he need to withdraw it or how does it work. He is still working on his h1b now.
What will happen to the EAD which was recieved but not yet used. For the new 485 will he get a new EAD or how does EAD depend on changes to 485.
Please clarify.

How bright were we when we were 20 year olds? I am in no way supporting Kasab, he will meet his end eventually. But we need to open our minds to the root causes of terrorism, when we do that we have an opportunity to leave our children with a better world. Cutting someone into pieces won't fetch you much, that is no different from Taliban's approach of stoning infidel women, singers and anti-shariats.

If congress can amend the law to exlclude country cap for Amensty programs and undocumented workers (Comprehensive Immigration Reform) then why should it be difficult to use the same yardstick for Employment-based category or any other category for that matter ?
