this depends on the number of approvals and not on the number of applications received. Even if there are tons of applications received, unless there are enough approvals happening simultaneously, dates would not retrogress in the middle of the month.
USCIS had approvals before dates moved. USCIS knows the number of such approvals.
These approvals are getting GC before approval of current applicants. If earlier approvals use up quotas, retrogression does not have to wait for current approvals.

I am a Canadian citizen, from my experience Canada government does respect more for immigrants, health system is much better, and more elites moved there for higher quality of living standards.
There are also lots of good companies in Canada, where I have gained GOOD experiences.
For professionals like us, at least Canadian government treat us with dignity and as a human being, not like some illegal labour worker lurking in US, we are all LEGAL and proved no local candidates for these jobs. I have been exploited by my company for almost 4 years, current salary is 10K less then standard, even though I have 14 years of working experiences, when it comes to promotion, my boss prefer a fresh graduates and want me to teach him so he can get promoted on top of me.
USICS Recent unconscionable retrogression really top off all previous deeds. We are educated high professionals, it is understable if immigrants are not welcome, but can they do it in a professional way? If so, why not just stop accepting immigration applications? why still accepting our money and leave us in this limbo situation? And creating all the excuses AFTER taking our money?
We are dealing with the government department which suppose to be all professionals and educated people. And this is not some third world countries which law is not a concern, or anybody can be bribed to do anything they want to the public.
Feeling numb should be the best way to deal with all these madness, and fellow professionals I keep praying for us and remember dont let it gets to you emotionally, there will always be a way and everything happens for a reason.
God is watching, He knows and will be the judge and bless all of us.

I would suggest putting together a short message, with links to detailed news reports, press releases etc.
But something short and catchy that captures the essence of what happened. And says that it hurt people.
And please, when you come up with a draft for lawmakers, do mention that their response would be shared with others in the employmentbased community through online public forums.

Here are some avoidance techniques, but you need to be ballsy to pull them of and never exceed the limits of decency and you must have a sense of timing and humor to do these. It is true everyone has made some sacrifices but consider if India were not a free country and if Nehru and others like Mahatma Gandhi didn't dedicate themselves to the cause of nation then would we be better off today? We failed to carry the torch left by them for us.
Has anyone asked them to vote for Nehru dynasty after the blunders? Didnt anyone see it coming? Building society is everyone's responsibility. Not just Nehru or his children's.
This is like saying we wasted one spot in Indian cricket team on Sachin Tendulkar when he scored 0 in some matches or didnt win a match for India.
It is team work and collective responsibility that will make this country prosper. Blaming some person by saying all his fault and we are here because he screwed us is not the right thing to do. It just finds a scapegoat and does not solve the problem. We should learn from the mistakes the country has made and learn from them and move forward.

I cannot think of any one good leader left in india. not one who can rise above self-interest and narrow mentality. Can you imagine any one of the so called leaders that was mentioned in this list leading the nation, and not be a laughing stock? remember deva gowda at davos...made a mockery of India there. Mayawati/modi, etc. what kind of leadership qualities (international affairs/finance/etc) do they have? the only kind of experience they have is gundaism, and creating conflicts with caste, culture and religion.
I wish most of the current class of leaders were erased, and a new class of leaders were brought in. Sadly that'll never happen with the kind of democratic setup we have. in the name of representation, we are debarring intellects, and people with broad vision from joining politics.

Huge money is going down in the pockets of big media houses, it is so damn obvious...Hindustan times, IBN & NDTV carried pictures of Priyanka Gandhi's children for 3 days on the front page, I never saw pictures or anything on Chandrababu Naidu, Yedirappa, Badal, Gehlot, Shivraj Chauhan or for that reason anybody....these kids are more important than our grassroot leaders ? The family is talking about "Rahul kee Shaadee" and the whole media is printing that, nobody's asking them where were you and what you did in last 5 years ???

I presume, from the July 2007 fiasco DOS might have learnt a lesson of deciding the cut off dates very care fully based on the Aproved labors In a pertucular year from a perticular country with a perticular ctegory. So thats the reason why I am thinking that instead of putting whole EB2 as a current

So I could say USCIS is making the cut off dates very carefully by using all the available information like approved labors in a perticular year from a perticular country and in a perticular category.

On other hand our Azhar is one of those who will sell his own mother for money. A disgrace to cricket world. Comparing him to Imran is like comparing Lion in Jungle to a Hyenna ( no disrespect to reading Hyenna).

I was invited by come and shake hand and photograph with this bookie and his beautiful wife. Majority of people having self-respect politely rejected the invitation. Do you know or read reports that daily 5000 bombs are dropped on civilian areas to make them to run towards the army.Do you know that the army poisoned the drinking water and people ran towards army without food or water and now they are in Nazi like camps.

My question is same as saileshdude. What is the trend USCIS follows when previous employer withdraws the 140 petition 180 days after applying AOS?
(1) Does AC21 letter really go into your file?
(2) What is the trend that is usualy followed ? RFE? or NOID or Straight denial? - I have seen some posts on forums where USCIS sends denials when previous employer withdraws the 140 petition.

Very well said & I just feel the same...I have already lost hope on this GC and can not predict how long its going to take but for sure before I leave this place and go back to home country I will contribute my best of share in this fight for justice and full support...count me in with out any doubt!!
If at all anything would work for recapturing of visas, its going to be lawsuit. There are already 155 ppl supporting lawsuit and saw ppl in are also thinking of lawsuit. I am sure there will be many more to support lawsuit. If we don't try for recapturing of visa nos, India EB2 ppl will be stuck forever, even for ppl with earlier PDs (2001-2003) it won't be before 2010 or 2011 that they would get their GC.

This kind of attitude will not help to acheive your goal. If US congress does not pass immigration that favors you may abuse everyone. Before that can you name any single country has such a better immiration policy than USA. You may name Canada and Australia. Canada many immigrants are struggling to survive for years so that is not attractive destination. Everyone knows what happens in Australia. A few violence will be enough to reduce immigration.
