get your facts right first. India is not actively supporting sri lanka. It would be suicidal for india (especially considering nutcases like you that exist) to even think of that again. Sri lanka is using israeli uav's and chinese fighter aircraft and artillery to fight the ltte. In fact, india is at a strategic disadvantage now because we choose not to help sri lanka militarily. And in fact, sri lanka has always suspected india of supporting the ltte. Read about the "string of pearls" geopolitical strategy of china before letting your emotions run crazy.
India rightfully doesn't care about the ltte. Ltte is a terrorist organization. Period. They killed a former prime minister and it doesn't matter if you support the congress party or the bjp. Fyi, i am not tamilian but i have lived in tamil nadu for more than 10 years and can speak it fluently. Needless to say, i have a lot of tamilian friends and know the culture. I understand the suffering that the sri lankan tamils are going through, especially in the mullattivu region. But we have to understand this is a war which has been going on for decades now. What do you expect to happen in a war? Rave parties?
Anyway hopefully, this will mark the end of the sufferring of both sri lankan tamils and sinhalese from now on. Both sides in that country have gone through enough already.

This is a HUGE issue if it is true. Can we verify it preferably with a URL?
This is what I meant when I said that we should identify all the issues and worry about english later. BTW, this is what is taught in a writing course: outline first, english later.
I have scanned most of the letters posted in thread. I will carefully scan them again and add their issues to my skelton.
Most of the letters are missing or not stressing some HUGE points like above. These HUGE points are bold faced in the articles I post. Editorials have a lot of these so called punch lines.
i picked this up from one of the threads.. not sure if it was the breaking news or media thread .. we need member info and url if possible...

Asking for exemption from quota will cause this proposal to fail. My suggestion:
Of the 10,000 available visas per year for EB5, only about 3k to 4k are being used. How about if one buy a house and give a minimum $100,000 cash payment (not credit in US), he will get a temporary greencard from the EB5 visa pool. If after 2 years, the house is occupied and owned by the same person without problems with credit, he will get a permanent GC. This is on top of meeting the requirements of the category he is in.
Sorry for bringing EB5 in my comments.

I used to live in Maryland and was so tired of being careful when using words starting with "black*", "Afro*", "slave*", etc. Everything was always tended to be interpreted as implication, that someone is inferior to someone, etc. etc. The only solution was just to keep my mouth shut. And this is in country which is so proud of "free speech".

Europeans came here to build cities and live here. Congo was colonized for trading (robbing if you wish) purposes, slave trade, etc. That's the key difference.

Its time to wake up. The writing is on the wall. I have been stuck in EB3 since 2005 and i dont see myself getting a GC anytime soon. The only way the govt here will realise how much we contribute to this economy is, When we will start leaving in droves.
I got my PR to Canada in 8 months and am already applying for job's there. I think i am done with this system, there are way too many people running after way few GC's. And USCIS knows it, we are a bunch of brown people sitting on our knees begging for GC. We have become the slaves of 21'st century, and i am gonna break free from it. More of us do so, better it would be. If US wants to loose all educated hard working people to Canada, Australia and other countries, so be it.

In my opinion, it is more relevant to EB immigration....To support a higher number of benefit recipient you need a higher number of EB immigrant who are more likely to be productive that FB immigrants.....
Now that is equivalent of passing judgment on FB immigrants as being unproductive.....I know I am going to get flak on that...
Remember a few posts back; I had said that I thought it was difficult to get h-1b or EB based greencard because it would be pretty difficult to prove that no American is qualified for the job. I wish I had never got involved in immigration so that I could have kept with that thought.
However; I am sure that just about everyone on these boards also thinks that.
The employment base definition of a skilled worker is a job which requires two years of experience (this is the same thing as a professional worker where the job requires a degree). Would you be surprised to know that just about everyone who is coming through family base or lottery visa would also fall into the definition of skilled worker.
In the past three years; I have seen an administrative assistant get sponsored as a skilled worker; a cook making $8.50 as a specialty cook at an Indian restaurant; 8 phillipinos getting sponsored as cooks with a wage of $9.00 at a restaurant; a convenience store clerk; (from reading administrative appeals decisions; i have seen a driving instructor, horse trainer, etc.). All of these jobs fit into a definition of "skilled worker" and share same eb3 category as professional.

I agree with some senior members when they say that no one individual will come forward for the lawsuit . And I ask why should they ??
And I think, even if one single or 2-3 people do come forward it will not be possible.
This is the reason we have forums like our IV so that all can come together and take a decisive step together .

Canada immigration is simple & straight forward.
No expensive lawyers are required or any lengthy procedures. Just self do. Also look at the currency rate of US and Canada almost same... Tax is a little high but medical is fully covered.
You need to fill forms,send all your education, papers etc and LO ! you are done and get PR Card. Some of my friends got it in less than 2 yrs.

P.S: I am not an lawyer. Just another frusted GC wait, wait no reply candidate.
Canadian Immigration is simple.. But then what? Are you ready to live your life in socialist welfare state? Buying a home in CAN $ 200000 in year 2007 will give you $ 5000 top in Year 2030.. Are you ready for that? Do not choose Good apples from the basket. This guy got a job from Microsoft does not mean that easily you would get settled...One thing I do not understand is why so much zeal about Canadian immigration on American immigration forums.. Is it some mental syndrome to make people part of your own guilt?
By the way my very nearest relatives and friends have choosen (Many are in IT as well..) Canada to get settled... Some live there since last 20 years... I know how Canada works... Other thing, with decision of corporates you can not take decisiion to unsettle your life.. Argument: Microsoft decides to go to Canada and is hirring you .. What can go wrong...many things can go wrong.. you do not know and many things cannot be proved.. With myself it already happened.. In year 2001 Bubble burst my then employer gave me a choice to move to Canada ( Exactly Microsoft kind of public declaration.. Company is also very prestigious and more or less you can consider it of the size of Microsoft).... I took decision not to go and so I was out of the company.. Some friends went there.. after 2 years laid off.. Those 2 years they got American salary on Canadian land (Dream, huh !!!!!!!!) ,, But then what after lay off.. One of them had to sit 6 months to get proper job.. Way less salary... Can this happen to everybody? May not be..But the bottom line is you will have to fiight out the hurdles.. Here you have GC Process hurdle.. In canada you may not have that but you may be having other 100 hurdles... What will you do then? WIll you go to Australia? ...There are 600 countries so at the most you can do 600 migrations :-) By the way both of my friends now want to come back to USA after getting citizenship and their families do not want to move as they have mentally fed up with this move from country to country.. Other thing, with decision of corporates you can not take decisiion to unsettle your life.. Argument: Microsoft decides to go to Canada and is hirring you .. What can go wrong...many things can go wrong.. you do not know and many things cannot be proved.. With myself it already happened.. In year 2001 Bubble burst my then employer gave me a choice to move to Canada ( Exactly Microsoft kind of public declaration.. Company is also very prestigious and more or less you can consider it of the size of Microsoft).... I took decision not to go and so I was out of the company.. Some friends went there.. after 2 years laid off.. Those 2 years they got American salary on Canadian land (Dream, huh !!!!!!!!) ,, But then what after lay off.. One of them had to sit 6 months to get proper job.. Way less salary... Can this happen to everybody? May not be..But the bottom line is you will have to fiight out the hurdles.. Here you have GC Process hurdle.. In canada you may not have that but you may be having other 100 hurdles... What will you do then? WIll you go to Australia? ...There are 600 countries so at the most you can do 600 migrations :-) By the way both of my friends now want to come back to USA after getting citizenship and their families do not want to move as they have mentally fed up with this move from country to country.. So wise up... my friend

Abdul kalaam (can a president become a prime minister too again or something will limit him not to).
Or deport bobby jindal there and make him india PM so that he can release statements about US from there :D:D:D

So to ensure that the CPs utilize all the quota, the dates are moved ahead before the end of the fiscal year and then moved back..hmmm so then again to ensure that the quota is used up in the next fiscal year,the dates will jump ahead again..:confused:
