What you are talking here is the Eb1-EA category.. and not the general EB1 category..
The EB1 Category is primarily meant for inter company transfers. Most of the people who qualify to get GC under this category come to US through the inter company transfer route and are primarily on L1-A work visa. Folks under L1-A do not require a labor certification and directly file I-140 /485 unlike people who come on L1-b visa which is also inter company transfer and requires a person to file a labor certification in US and then file GC under Eb2 or Eb3 as the case may be.

Our PM, MMS in the last 5 years never visited all the states in the country. He never established contact with aam aadmi. MMS needs certificate from Rahul Gandhi that he is doing a good job. Well, lemme give my 2 cents as I am from AP and follow politics very closely...I CAN TELL ONE THING - IF EVERYONE HAS THE SAME FACTS ABOUT SOME ISSUE, ESP. WITH ABOUT A PERSON, EVERYONE PRETTY MUCH COMES TO THE SAME CONCLUSION. So here are some of the facts, some first hand and some knowing by hailing from the area...
I have first hand accounts about the person....There are corrupt guys and then there was YSR...to the extent most of you would not even believe!!! One of my friends was a police officer, and told me that YSR openly used to intimidate them if they did not oblige...
It's funny someone mentioned that he had a vision, democratically elected etc., etc...My other friend comes from the same town as he, and told me how he literally 'ruled' the place with thuggery, force, intimidation, power, etc...
Oh yeah sure he was a doctor...Did he not buy that degree through donation education from Karnataka, during good old days?

He sidelined other congress leaders in the state so that he would not have another voice...so much so that even though congress won many more lok sabha seats in AP than in TN, he made sure that no more than one or two MPs from AP become members of central cabinet (compared to 4 or 5 from TN congress and dmk alliance), so that he would not have a rival with power in AP. Forget about the other developmental benefits that AP could have availed by having central cabinet ministers. When real estate in hyd exploded, he had his goons coming from his native place, illegally occupying the private land and govt. land alike. get your facts right first. India is not actively supporting sri lanka. It would be suicidal for india (especially considering nutcases like you that exist) to even think of that again. Sri lanka is using israeli uav's and chinese fighter aircraft and artillery to fight the ltte. In fact, india is at a strategic disadvantage now because we choose not to help sri lanka militarily. And in fact, sri lanka has always suspected india of supporting the ltte. Read about the "string of pearls" geopolitical strategy of china before letting your emotions run crazy.

What do you expect to happen in a war? Rave parties?
Anyway hopefully, this will mark the end of the sufferring of both sri lankan tamils and sinhalese from now on. Both sides in that country have gone through enough already.

this is an out of the box thinking .. deserves consideration.
Why should we give big bucks to big names? Instead we can pay 50% to 75% of that to a bunch of fresh law school grads from Harvard or some other top law school and see what they can do?
This way we would help young talent and also give them a platform to get their name in the front and at the same time we are not under cutting on their fees. Saving money but cutting unnecessary cost is the name of the game.

Three facts, followed by one interpretation.
First: several members (incl self) have checked with their own lawyers and these lawyers tend to agree with the common interpretation of validity for entire month. And at least some of these are lawyers with many years of practice.
Second: Fragomen, the largest immigration law firm, on its website mentions the mid-month possibility; so while there is no government source, the whole topic cannot be dismissed as an unfounded rumor.
Third: Macaca keeps cutting and pasting from the ombudsman's report in many different colors.
My interpretation:
The mid-month concept seems to be a matter of opinion. Multicolor posts notwithstanding, there's nothing official on this matter so far. (I emailed the state department seeking an answer; not surprisingly, I haven't heard back. If anyone else can get something from the horse's mouth, then post it here. If you can get stuff only from the other end of the horse, then maybe there's isn't much pointing in driving a general panic.)

First, please stop comparing companies in this thread at least because we are diverting from topic.
I am totally convinced with users like jetflyer, kondur_007 and others that �if it goes smooth then next will be EAD, then I-485 approvals�.
At least this is the time to think beyond boundaries (like EB-3, EB-2, working as FT, working with consulting company, states and countries), if not then don�t distract the efforts.

As a person you are offended that I made comment based on what you said in one post without considering your whole lifestory. India's history is out there for everybody to see and most educated indians know pretty well what kind of a nation India is.
However, you managed to compare India with Nazi Germany. Great job. Based on 1 incident, you managed to slam a great nation like India. But when it comes to you you want many factors considered. Why the double standard?
Then there are some wacko job politician from TN that says if Prabhakaran is hurt , they will separate from India. All they need is read back to early years of post independence India and a person named Vallabh Bhai Patel. There are still people with similar capacity in India, that will bring such wacko jobs and their supporters in control.
Remember, same goes true for the wacko jobs from Maharashtra too who say Maharashtra is for Marathi's.

Grassley bill will not close the door for immigrants but will decrease substanially from 200k(H1+L1) to 80k. But retrogession will go down and those 80k will have less problem in getting green card. You can chose whether to allow unlimited L1 and 125K h1b and 10 to 15 years waiting time or allow 30K L1 + 50K H1b and 3 to 5 years waiting time in green card. Which option will be better for you? If your skills are not good certainly you will not want any restrictions. If your skills are excellent you will survive whatever restrictions they put. They cannot reduce H1b below 65k as that is a part of WTO. So there is no one can block H1b program.

Talking about diversity, those not familiar should take a look at an Indian currency note.
Maybe someone can scan and post one, I don't have any Indian note with me. You will see around 20+ languages on it. You can tell its different languages because they use different script unlike say German and French (except for the accents/umlaut). Actually the number of languages are much more than shown on the notes. For whatever reason AFAIK only languages with distinct script are classified as languages in India, others are called dialects. These dialects are actually languages because they are not dialects of anything (For example in this definition, lot of European languages will be classified as a single language because they use Latin script).
The point is unlike what outsider might think there is as much if not more cultural, ethnic, linguistic differences between a Gujarati and a Tamil Indian as between a German and a Portuguese European.
So how much favor I will carry with a Malayali (no disrespect to anyone from Kerala) is debatable.
Talking about diversity, those not familiar should take a look at an Indian currency note.
Maybe someone can scan and post one, I don't have any Indian note with me. You will see around 20+ languages on it. You can tell its different languages because they use different script unlike say German and French (except for the accents/umlaut). The July 2008 Visa Bulletin has said Exactly the same, but in different words, what I have been saying for the past few months about the EB2-India and EB3-India Movements.
EB2 India will move very fast till 01 JAN 06 as because based on June 2007 bulletin, just before the july fiasco,( http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_3236.html ) the PD for China is 01 JAN 06. That means in EB2 Category except India and China every other country is current. So till India reaches 01 JAN 06 PD in EB2, all the spill overs will be moved to EB2 India,because the spill overs will be alloted based on the priority of old PD(Priority Date). By the time India EB2 reaches 01 JAN 06, China PD in EB2 will move further from 01 JAN 06 by using its 7% quota. So Inidia PD for EB2 again moves fast till that changed China PD using the spill overs. After that India and China will share the spill overs based on the PD priority. All this happens if and only if the USCIS works effectively and uses all the available visa numbers for the present fiscal year. My prediction for EB2 India PD is it touch 2005 /even cross few months in 2005 by the end of this year if USCIS works effectively.
For all Eb3s along with EB2s with PD after April 2005, the movement in the coming visa bulletins wont be much encoraging unless the new Obama government does something significant about employent based category or immigrationvoice does a fruitful lobbying. The doings of something by obama government to employment based category is not in our hands. The only thing we could do is to help IV and help ourrselves by contributing to it to reach its financial target for better lobbying. Or else wait for the Visa Bulletin every month with great hopes, sorry dreams, for your PD to become current, and satisfy with your EADs for years ahead.

now that we have 13 pages of discussion ..can we agree on something and start small campaigns atleast ???
that way we can generate more interest in IV.
we can do something indirect too ..such as contacting your realtors ..show interest in buying and then back off ..the advantage in this (if large number of people take part and each contact 4-5 realtors) ..then we will have someone else lobbying for us (rather than ourselves beating our own drum)
if someone has better idea then we can go for that too

As per Macaca's logic, pre Oct 2005 PDs will take up all the numbers available for EB2 Indai for 2007, in June and July.
If that is the case why was the Bulletin for july not set to Oct or Nov 2005 and instead made current. Surely USCIS does not want to deal with all the extra workload if it does not have to.
DOS/USCIS know the truth, but going by the Ombudsman's report, they want to use up visa numbers as fast as they can. So if they have 30K applications sitting, just waiting for visa numbers, now with everything set to C, they can blindly start approving without even seeing what the date on those apps is.
Also, with EB3-ROW being 'C' they dont even need to worry about per-country limits. Just pick up the next almost-approved file, assign visa number, mail out. repeat.
