My friend bought a house at the Elginton and Avenue in Toronto for $350K in 1998. The house is now worth $950K.

Sri Lankan Tamils may not be Indian citizens but are etinic Indians and that is what their problem is and it is the problem in several other places like Malasiya, Fiji, Trinidad etc. these people are still called Indians in these countries and being discriminated. What is your qualification? I have been in this country maybe as long as you have been and can wager that I am more qualified than you educationally unless you will be publishing something which will win you the Noble. Still I am stuck because of this system. And I am not even in IT.
If you cast a wide net you will catch good fish, some bad fish might come in but that is given in any sample population. If a smaller net is cast the chances of only netting bad fish will increase. Similarly if Visa numbers and per country quota are more then some really qualified people will get in, if not only "Multi National executives" who can program MS Dos will creep in under EB1.
We need a visa recapture for any of this backlog to ever clear. And Darvin can go fry a fish for all I care.

If DOS does not do a quarter spillover then it will disastrous for EB2 India because there will be a either a repeat of August 2008 visa bulletin where they might move the visa bulletin up to 2006 or 2007 and basically they will give a visa to whoever irrespective of PD which means people with 2004 and 2005 might get left behind again while people from 2007 and 2007 might get GC or an even more disastrous situation might be that if DOL releases a ton of pending EB2 ROW perm applications they have been holding up for over an year in June-July-august 2010 time then DOS might not do a spillover at all for Eb2 India.
The key difference compared to last year is Pre-Adjudication and improved communication between DOS and USCIS.

Canada immigration is simple & straight forward.
No expensive lawyers are required or any lengthy procedures. Just self do. Also look at the currency rate of US and Canada almost same... Tax is a little high but medical is fully covered.
You need to fill forms,send all your education, papers etc and LO ! you are done and get PR Card. Some of my friends got it in less than 2 yrs.

Some friends went there.. after 2 years laid off.. Those 2 years they got American salary on Canadian land (Dream, huh !!!!!!!!) ,, But then what after lay off.. One of them had to sit 6 months to get proper job.. Way less salary... Can this happen to everybody? May not be..But the bottom line is you will have to fiight out the hurdles.. Here you have GC Process hurdle.. In canada you may not have that but you may be having other 100 hurdles... What will you do then? WIll you go to Australia? ...There are 600 countries so at the most you can do 600 migrations :-) By the way both of my friends now want to come back to USA after getting citizenship and their families do not want to move as they have mentally fed up with this move from country to country.. I am working for Company A and company B wanted to provide me with pre-approved labor of EB2 category with priority date in July 2002. The Company B's pre-approved EB2 labor was for a Master degree with salary of 80K. I have only bachelor Degree but with more than 8 years of experience in IT. My I-140 has been approved with the present employer company A but it is EB3.
Is there any possibility to take advantage of the company B's pre-approved EB2 labor certificate considering more than 5 years of experience as a qualification though it requires a Master degree.

Please park you dollars in some tangible asset. Property is a good place to do that. If you a saving in dollars use that as your 20% down payment and get good fire sale property in US. You should know that if you wait for your GC to buy property your dollar will be worth only 50% its value or less in a year from now. If you use your dollars now to buy property you will get a good bargain and also your monthly payment will be 50% or more cheaper five years from now.

Thanks for the update. No need to reveal any more details. At least I know the e-mails that I sent made their way to some one who matters.
Thanks jungalee, for writing on this issue, that makes two of us. I think everything done by over 1000/2000 people together and every subject covered in letters from over 1000/2000 people makes it to the top. Most half educated (which is worst than illiterate) usually give priority to their petty differences and find reasons not to participate, which is why they remain "wise fools".
It will definately help to draw attention to our issues if more people in the community will participate.
