I had green dots till yesterday, but after posting fun stuff on this thread people gave me red dots..... why is that? This tread has zero value, it is like Santa singh jokes.
Looks like people are so serious in their life that they cannot understand difference between fun and real stuff...

I was heart broken too when I got my first red. And I got it just because I agreed with someone that it is not a good idea to staple new passport and old passport together and suggested to use a rubber band to hold the two passports together. The person who gave me a red said in the comments section "I will surely use a rubber band to hold my passports together." Not sure if he was being sarcastic - but I stopped worrying about red dots now.

Some of these jokers (Quikstar..Amway) have filed GC in EB2 and Eb3 which is illegal, someday states Like Arizona will declare that anyone looking like us should be checked for Amway membership and deported
Profiling is an issue and because of some jokers we all may have to go thru scrutiny.
We should ask USCIS to check all GC applicants name in Amway database and if found USCIS needs to send them to Mexico (because illegal)..
We should write to senators... your opinion on this? ( this way Indiancommunity can be clean and fight for legal hardworking people in immigration policy)

I don't think that search is giving the accurate info. I know at least 10 Amway guys by name in my neighbor hood (you can guess how many... many... times I've been tortured) and none of their names is appearing. May be it is giving the names of those silver or what ever their hierarchy is.

Folks - here is the thing. lets work towards fixing our issues.
If people feel USCIS must know about EB1 fraud or other stuff, there are enough people to write to them and if people want to write to USCIS - no one stops them from writing.
As such, so many people write about different things - people write about eb2 - people write about consulting companies etc... So if you wish to do what you want to do you can do it.
Remember - when you make a claim that someone is falsfying or breaking law you must present facts and explain properly as to why you think it is not right and why you think you are affected by this.
Now when you do this - someone can definitely write why they think what YOU are doing is not right and why there are issues with your application.
IV focuses on advocacy - together we resolve our issues. Things like employer not paying salary, employer benching, cheating etc... are things IV members must collectively deal with andhelp themselves.
Things like wrongful denials when used AC21, poor customer service etc... are ones IV members can collectively resolve and IV helps
Things like organizing grassroots efforts, job networking, help networks, lobbying etc... are the kind of things IV stands for.

Ultimately everything boils down to corruption. Huge money is going down in the pockets of big media houses, it is so damn obvious...Hindustan times, IBN & NDTV carried pictures of Priyanka Gandhi's children for 3 days on the front page, I never saw pictures or anything on Chandrababu Naidu, Yedirappa, Badal, Gehlot, Shivraj Chauhan or for that reason anybody....these kids are more important than our grassroot leaders ? OK, let's assume the SC invalidates country-based quotas. All EB-based immigration has to stop at that point until new law is written and passed......
Isn't this we want. New Law. I am pretty sure when new law is being written and debated and passed, we could lobby for the changes we want. I believe, the EB process will not stop during this process because the govt machinery cannot say let the new law comes into force and then we process. They have to process the GC as per the existing law.
First we go the judiciary route. If we win that would be awesome. If we loose that will give us more visibility. More visibility could attract more sympathetic support than what we have right now. Also there will be clear distinction in senators mind between Illegal and Legal immigration. The hearings will expose the lies behind Lou D talk shows.
I believe that this process will act as a catalyst, to the entire process. We are already facing retrogression. Maybe another couple of years of extra wait would be worthwhile if this can bring in the reforms.:)

A genuine mistake can be corrected using nunc-pro-tunc method. I used to work for a big Indian IT major and they forgot to file my wife's H4 and when I moved to a big 4 firm..they filed nunc-pro-tunc. According to you definition, if any company makes a mistake, we are illegal. LOL.

US economy situation is alarming. I doubt they will consider any immigration related bill until financial crisis stablises.2009 will be the key.Economy has to stablise. If not anti immigrants will block any bill citing the economy as the reason. That would have caused the dollar to simply plummet. Frankly given the current state of affairs, If I were a central banker, I would diversify the reserves.
People may have differing views on how to fix things, but that they must everyone seems to agree. As not much has been accomplished on this and other issues over the last few years, we just might see a slew of issues addressed next year as a sense of urgency is building. This will be especially true if we get all 3 branches of Gov't on one side, right now that chance is with the Democrats.
Doing nothing is quite simply paralyzing this country, we mainly see it on the Immigration issue as it affects us directly, but the same is true on many issues.

If there is a need for companies to save money by going for substituted labor, then maybe the DOL and USCIS should work out to make the priority date of substitution case same as the 140 date and not the labor filing date.

What about at the time of labor substitution? They ought to check the labor market again for a suitable candidate and only after confirming that there are not any candidates, the substitution labor should be approved with priority date of the substitution labor filing, not the original priority date. This will make labor substitution difficult for Desi companies and keeps it fair for everybody - immigrants, local candidates.

In a similar vein, you need to understand that there were and are huge gaping inefficiencies in the current immigration process. There has to be a way to curb these excesses and inefficiencies.
